I am a firm believer that everything in life takes support. In my personal life, I am very blessed with amazing friends who, like me, step in when needed. Whether it's a phone call from old friends, or going to a neighbor's house when my little ones have just been too much, I have people around me who I can turn to.
Over the last few months, I have really been focusing on my business and the one thing that I have found to be true is that I can't do this alone. Like my personal life, it is taking a village for me to learn what works, what doesn't, and motivation to keep going.
This week I renewed my commitment to my clients and myself and really started working on communication and engaging with both my customers and other makers who are doing the same thing I am. Not only am I overwhelmed with all of the great advice, but also how much it has helped my business. Take a look at this chart of store views by week on our Storevny site.
Do you see what a difference engagement has made? I'm over the moon at the response I've gotten. I'm definitely a "numbers never lie" kind of person, and this proves that being involved with groups of creative brains and engaging with people does make an outstanding difference. Also, not only are the numbers making a difference, but the friendships that I'm building in the creative community are unparalleled.
So how do you stay connected in your personal and professional lives? Do you have groups you attend live or virtually? Chats set up? What works best for you?
